Boston Symphony Orchestra
Massachusetts native John Ferrillo is currently the principal oboist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and a member of the oboe faculty at the New England Conservatory of Music. Previously, he was principal oboist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and also served as second oboist of the San Francisco Symphony. He has participated in the Marlboro, Craftsbury, Monadnock, Waterloo, and Aspen Music Festivals, and the Mannes Bach Institute. Mr. Ferrillo received the Diploma and the Performer’s Certificate from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied with John DeLancie, Richard Woodhams, and John Mack.

Eastman School of Music
John Hunt is the Professor of Bassoon at the Eastman School of Music, as well as Chair of the Department of Winds, Brass, and Percussion. He has previously been a faculty member at Florida State University and at West Virginia University. Additionally, Mr. Hunt has played principal bassoon in the Naples Philharmonic and was a member of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also served as principal bassoonist of The U.S. Army Band and Orchestra. During summers, he has participated as a member of the Aspen Music Festival, the Colorado Music Festival, the Orquésta Sinfónica de Minería in Mexico City, the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival and Monadnock Music Festival. Currently, he serves on the faculty of the Festival Institute at Round Top, Texas.

West Virginia University
Cynthia Babin Anderson, Associate Professor of Oboe at West Virginia University, is an active oboist and English hornist in both Europe and North America, appearing with such diverse groups as the Mexico City Philharmonic and the international double reed ensemble Aiolos Collective, with whom she has performed at several international conferences and recorded a CD of original music. Professor Anderson currently plays oboe and English horn with the Pittsburgh Opera, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and Pittsburgh Broadway Series orchestras. In 2001, she was co-host of the 30th annual conference of the International Double Reed Society, held at West Virginia University. She holds degrees from The Manhattan School of Music and Northwestern University, where she studied with Joseph Robinson, Tom Stacy, and Ray Still.

West Virginia University
Lynn Hileman is Assistant Professor of Bassoon and Music Theory at West Virginia University, principal bassoonist of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, a member of the Laureate Wind Quintet, and one half of the bassoon duo Tuple. Dr. Hileman has performed throughout the United States as a recitalist specializing in contemporary music, appearing most recently at the Festival of Contemporary Art Music and the Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival, and at the 2007 and 2008 International Double Reed Society Conventions. She holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, Yale University, and the University of Michigan, where her teachers included John Hunt, Frank Morelli, Christopher Millard, and Richard Beene.
